Abstract
The concept of climate has reappeared in contemporary artistic and literary works with the philosophical and sociological transformation of the concept of nature. The present research has followed and analyzed this concept in the poems of two contemporary Iranian and Iraqi poets, Nima Yoshij and Badrshaker Al-Siyab, using a descriptive-analytical method. The results show that the common aspect of this discussion in the works of both poets is that the examples of climate are not limited to the capacities of nature; Rather, it has pointed out the aspects of the relationship between nature and culture. Issues such as colors, manners, traditions, food, plant textures, mountains, forest, sea, clothing and speech are all manifestations of the concept of climate in the works of both poets. In Nima's poetry, the climatic elements or components are mostly referring to the things that were absent in Persian classical poetry and belong to the natural textures of his hometown. In al-Siyab's poetry, there are elements and manifestations of climate, and his poetry is closer to ancient poetry and nature poets in terms of tendency towards natural elements. Nima and Badr Shaker al-Siyab are close to each other in the use of vegetation in their works, and the reason for this can be seen from the fact that Nima lives in the northern forests and Badr Shaker lives in the groves of Jikor.
